The Adachi Art Museum, located in Yasurai City, Shimane Prefecture, was established in 1970 by industrialist Tsuyoshi Adachi and is a registered museum in Shimane Prefecture focusing on modern Japanese paintings. The collection of modern Japanese paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and gilt paintings covers a wide range of fields and is particularly famous for the collection of modern Japanese painter Yokoyama Daiguan, which consists of 130 pieces. There is also a large collection of ceramics by Rusanjin Kitaoji, Kanjiro Kawai, and others, and there are special rooms for Yokoyama Daikan, Rusanjin Kitaoji, and Kanjiro Kawai, where the contents of the exhibitions are replaced four times a year.
