The Science Library in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, has been transformed into a museum. This iconic building was constructed between 1969 and 1975 and was one of the buildings built after the University of Leuven moved to Wallonia. The building is symbolic and monumental in its own right, highlighting the university's position in teaching and imparting knowledge.

The museum displays artifacts and objects from different civilizations as well as scientific inventions, presenting the perspective of mankind as creator and inventor, continuing the tradition of searching for the meaning of life, improving the environment in which we live, recording traces of our existence, and building civilizations.

The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Museum maintains and displays the fruits of these profound civilizations poetically, elucidating the facts through humane techniques such as questioning, imagining, and reminiscing. In addition to the existing collection, the museum has added objects with anthropological and scientific themes, enabling visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the collection from different cultures.

The museum's mission is twofold: to bring the exhibits at KU Leuven to their fullest potential in terms of exhibition value and scientific and educational value. It is not only a museum for the community but also a center for teaching and research.
