The National Palace Museum of Korea is a special museum for the essence of the cultural heritage of the Joseon royal family, inheriting the history and culture of the Joseon dynasty for more than 500 years, and was established in 2005 and opened to the public. 1,900 pieces of artefacts are on display in 10 exhibition halls on three floors, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of colourful royal cultures. To protect the artefacts, the museum regularly conducts artefact replacement work. The National Palace Museum of Korea has three floors of exhibition halls and a collection of more than 40,000 artefacts and royal treasures, including costumes, jewellery, paintings and calligraphy, letters, and a variety of daily items of the royal family, as well as state seals that were used by Joseon's King Gaojong, covering the lifestyle of the Joseon dynasty for 500 years, as well as their contributions to art and literature.

The National Palace Museum of Korea is a museum located in Gyeongbokgung Palace, Sejong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and focuses on artefacts of the Joseon royal family. The collection contains more than 40,000 cultural heritage items that show the history and culture of the Joseon royal family, and the refurbished exhibition space displays elegant royal palace treasures. From now on, the National Gugong Museum will become a temple of culture by inheriting the excellence of the majestic royal culture and the creative cultural heritage of the palace together with the people.
