Lin'an Museum covers an area of 100.9 acres, with a total construction area of about 29,000 square metres, consisting of the main building and four halls. The ground floor of the main building is the Provisional Exhibition Hall, the floor is the Lin'an History Hall, the north-to-south of the hall is divided into the office and conference area, and the main hall is the Wu-Yue Fine Arts Exhibition Hall, with a total exhibition area of nearly 4,000 square metres.
Lin'an Museum is the gene pool of the culture of Wu-Yue State, and it is the richest, comprehensive and systematic window to show the culture and cultural relics of the Wu-Yue State period in the Five Dynasties. It is not only a county and district-level museum, but also a national history museum. It will become a comprehensive cultural complex integrating many functions such as exhibition, cultural creation and leisure. Its completion echoes the neighbouring historical and cultural relics such as the Meritorious Pagoda and the Brahmaputra Well, creating a historical and cultural park of Wuyue.
